Is It Something In The Water?

Plenty of people will say, "Yes! There's something in the water! And it's messing with our minds!"

Others will be saying, "No -- it's something in the air! Look at those contrails! They're messing with our minds!"

For others it's the shadows from which emanate manipulations by

·        Aliens
·        Angels
·        Agents (of governments/cabals/corporations)
·        Any wild card entity -- the wilder the better!

Or they may say that our vaccines are weapons of chemical and biological warfare waged by governments, including ours.

Or that television and other programming, including the news media and the Internet are all vehicles for mind and other forms of control.

And those are just some of the mind control beliefs that are out there.

Way out there.

Don’t' even get me started -- yet -- on the UFO and UFO cover-up side of things. I spent years dealing with that material at OMNI, and have continued to follow the literature (if that's the word) in the years since. I'll be looking at UFOs (which I don't believe are looking back) in some upcoming posts.

For now, I wanted to start this blog simply, with a catalog -- partial, incomplete, general -- of some of the beliefs and theories that we've all run into.

There are plenty of others floating -- or being beamed or teleported or transmitted telepathically -- around the zeitgeist, and they do appear to be proliferating. (Is the current frigid spell a product of weather control weapons or experiments?)

The point of this catalog -- and the purpose of the blog -- is this:

They can't all be true.
What I'm curious about, and what I'll be exploring here is both the nature of the crazier beliefs, theories, assertions -- present and past -- and also why the United States seems to provide such fertile ground for their growth.

Why do so many of us believe so many crazy -- to my eyes, and those, I believe, of any rationalist -- things?

As we'll see in the days and posts to come, there's nothing new about these sorts of beliefs.

Before we start looking at specifics, let me pose one more general question. An invitation, if you will:

What's the craziest deeply held theory -- conspiracy or otherwise -- that you've run into lately?

Let me know and I'll add it to the mix of topics we'll be diving into -- or at least towards -- here.

Welcome to American Crazy!
